It has been a big couple of days in Launceston for our Hurricanes State Championships U17 Girls teams.

Day 1

Double header T20 games were fixture and after positive starts round one was abandoned after the first innings due to rain.

North West Lightning0/6 drew Tasmania U/15's 6/114(cc) E Marsh 29 K Williams 2/16

Round 2 produced some very good team and individual performances, the Northern Force setting the early pace.

Day 2

The girls moved into longer formats with 50 over games scheduled. This was going to be the first time a number of our girls had experienced longer format cricket.
The Northern Force continued on their winning way against the State U15s in a low scoring game however it was tricky chase for the Force passing the U15s 6 wickets down.

On NTCA number two ground the Southern Storm got out of the block quickly with a number of girls getting starts with the bat Philpott 17, Breckweg 22, Scott 31. However it was Ellie Dick who stared with the bat making a very good 84 from 113 balls.
